I am a passionate Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the tech industry. I started as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon before transitioning to TPM, and have since worked for the company-formerly-known-as-Facebook before landing at Zillow.
I am also a percussionist, tabletop gamer, outdoor enthusiast, and now blogger. You might be wondering what does all of that have in common? And what’s a TPM? Fundamentally, I live and work with a purpose of untangling balls of spaghetti. I suppose spending a lot of time fishing with my father growing up – most of which was spent untangling knots of incredible complexity that got worse with every wrong pull to untangle them – was a useful activity full of metaphors. If you’d like to learn more about the TPM role, start with my first post in a series defining TPM here.
I keep up with my current work on my LinkedIn and am available for free mentorship. I also am available for consulting or fractional CTO services. If you wish to contact me, you can message me on LinkedIn or through my Contact page.
While I am hesitant to make ultimatums – times change, after all – I commit to keeping opinions shared independent. What does this mean? Recommendations are welcome; sponsored (paid for) content is not. Occasionally, I will use affiliate links, but never because I was paid to do so. I also commit that all ideas shared are my own – I do not use ChatGPT or any other generative text service.
